international review of exhibitions and books on art
It is the purpose of Tabula Quarterly to provide a forum for the most intelligent and readable writing on art. A concise record of a season in art, the journal publishes reviews by writers as well as art historians. The premise of Tabula Quarterly is an art review modeled on the literary journal: a platform for the most interesting and qualified minds to publish erudite and uncompromising criticism that can also be read for pleasure.
Each issue of Tabula Quarterly, published on-line and accessible free of charge, features roughly a dozen reviews of exhibitions and books on art. While the scope of museum and gallery exhibitions is international, book reviews are limited to English language publications. The quarterly welcomes unsolicited proposals, which are reviewed by the journal’s editorial board.
